This is a small portion of a keyboard test procedure that operationally tests specific key interaction with the Microsoft IE browser. This test is not complicated but it does demonstrate how a simple test can require numerous steps.

Verify that Num Lock, Scroll Lock, and Caps Lock keys are Off. |

Open the IE browser. Press Ctrl-P. Verify the Print dialog box opens. |

Press the Esc key. Verify the Print dialog box closes. |
|

Press the F1 key. Verify the IE’s help screen is displayed. |

Close IE Help by clicking on close box in the upper right corner of the screen. . |

Press the F3 key. Verify IE’s search window is opened. |

Close the search window by clicking the X at the top of the search window.. |

Press the F4 key. Verify IE’s Address Bar opens. |

9 |
Press Esc key and verify the IE Address Bar closes. |
|
|
|

Press the F11 key. Verify IE goes to Full Screen mode. |
|

Press the F11 Key. Verify IE Returns to its normal display mode. |
|

Press Ctrl-A key. Verify the entire Web page is highlighted. |

Press the F5 key. Verify the IE’s screen is refreshed. |

Press the Ctrl-F key. Verify the Find dialog box opens. |

Press the ESC key. Verify the Find dialog box closes. |

Press Ctrl-O key. Verify that the Open dialog box opens. |

Press the ESC key. Verify the Open dialog box closes. |

Press Ctrl-N key. Verify the current Web page is opened in a new IE window. |

Press Sys Rq/PRINT key. Open Microsoft Word. Verify a new document is opened in Word. Press Ctrl-V. Verify the Web page is pasted into the Word document. |

Close IE and Word. |
